Warp 9 Launches First of Several Sites for F+W Media

B2C E-Commerce site MyCraftivityShop.com features both digital and hard goods

October 15, 2008 - Santa Barbara, CA - Warp 9, Inc. (OTCBB: WNYN), the premier provider of robust e-commerce platforms and services, today announces that its new client, F+W Publications, has launched its newly redesigned and upgraded business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce site on the Warp 9 Internet Commerce System (ICS) platform.

F+W Media's MyCraftivityShop.com is a website dedicated to bringing consumers the best craft information, tips, and inspiration based on the Company's bestselling books and magazines.

Eric Svenson, Director of eCommerce for F+W Media first approached Warp 9 and competing vendors to move the site to a platform that had greater backend management, reporting, and feature support, as well as to help clean up the design and apply best practices. F+W Media selected Warp 9 for both their ICS platform, as well as their extensive e-commerce domain expertise.

The new website features:

  • An improved checkout process and a fresh, more aesthetically pleasing look
  • The capability to download and purchase digital goods alongside hard goods to give the consumer a variety of purchase options
  • Warp 9's Suggested and Directed search features
  • More granular reporting of Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engine search terms, showing a breakout of Natural and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) versus Pay-Per-Click (PPC) contributions

F+W Media is also making use of Warp 9's automated image creation capability to automatically process the thousands of images used in the various parts of the website.
